How VidSeeds.ai uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

1. What This Policy Covers

This Cookie Policy explains how CARROTGAMESSTUDIOS LLC, doing business as VidSeeds.ai ("we", "our", or "us"), uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on vidseeds.ai. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information in general. This policy describes only the technologies that run in your browser when you visit our public website or use the product.

Cookies are small text files that a website or its partners store on your device. Local storage is a similar technology that keeps small records inside your browser rather than in a file. We use both, and this policy refers to them together as "cookies" unless stated otherwise.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies We Use

These are required for the website and product to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, changing privacy settings, or filling in forms.

These cookies remember choices and attributes that make the site more useful but are not strictly required for it to work. They are set on every visit, including before consent, because they do not identify you and are used only to credit the partner or campaign that brought you to us and to keep your preferences.

3. Strictly Necessary

NamePurposeDuration
vs_analytics_consentStores whether you have allowed or declined analytics cookies, so your choice is respected on every page, including by our servers.365 days
vs_cf_countryStores an approximate country code used only to apply the correct consent rules for your region.Set by our edge network per request
Session and authentication cookiesKeep you signed in to your VidSeeds.ai account and protect forms against cross-site request forgery.Session or short-lived
Cloudflare security cookiesSet by our hosting and security provider to distinguish legitimate visitors from bots and to protect the site.Vendor-managed, short-lived

We also keep one local storage record that stores your cookie preferences themselves (which categories you allowed). It contains no tracking identifier and stays until you clear your browser data or change your choice.

4. Functional (Attribution and Preferences)

These cookies remember choices and attributes that make the site more useful but are not strictly required for it to work. They are set on every visit, including before consent, because they do not identify you and are used only to credit the partner or campaign that brought you to us and to keep your preferences.

NamePurposeDuration
vs_traffic_sourceRecords the external site and campaign that brought you to us on your first visit (first-touch attribution), so signups can be credited correctly.90 days
vs_attributionRecords a paid-ad click identifier (for example from Google Ads) so a later signup can be attributed to the ad you clicked.90 days
vs_referral_codeStores a referral or affiliate code from a link you clicked, so the referring partner can be credited if you sign up.60 days
FirstPromoter cookies (_fprom_ref, _fprom_tid)Set by our affiliate platform when you arrive through an affiliate link, to credit the affiliate if you purchase. In regions where the law requires a tracking opt-in, the affiliate script that sets these cookies only loads after you allow analytics cookies, so without consent no affiliate cookies are written.Vendor-managed

5. Analytics (Consent Required in Some Regions)

These cookies help us understand how the site and product are used, so we can improve them. They are set only after you allow analytics cookies in regions where the law requires prior opt-in (the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, and Brazil). Where you have not made a choice, no analytics cookies are written.

7. Third-Party Technologies

Third parties that set or receive information through cookies on our site are limited to the providers listed above. In particular:

  • Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads): measurement and advertising tags, governed by Google's Privacy Policy and, where enabled, Google's EU user consent policy.
  • Amplitude: product analytics, governed by Amplitude's privacy terms.
  • Meta Platforms, X Corp., and OpenAI: advertising measurement pixels.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, security, and cookieless web analytics.
  • FirstPromoter: affiliate attribution. The affiliate script loads only when analytics tracking is permitted for your session (your consent choice and region rules), and checkout attribution writes are additionally suppressed when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
  • Apollo.io: on authenticated and login pages only, a visitor-identification tool that helps our sales team understand which companies visit our site. It loads only when analytics tracking is permitted for your session, and you can learn more in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changing or Withdrawing Consent

You can change your choice at any time:

  • Banner: if you have not decided yet, the banner reappears on your next visit and you can pick a different option.
  • Account settings: signed-in users can review and change cookie and analytics permissions under Settings → Privacy, which also explains what each setting controls.
  • Reset: clearing your browser's cookies and site data for vidseeds.ai removes your stored choice, and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

10. Your Browser Controls

All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies or all cookies may break sign-in, consent storage, or parts of the checkout and publishing flows, because the site can no longer remember that you are signed in or what you allowed.

11. Global Privacy Control (GPC)

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal, we treat it as a request to decline all non-essential cookies and turn off analytics and advertising tracking, unless you have made an explicit choice in the banner that overrides it. Our handling of GPC is declared at https://vidseeds.ai/.well-known/gpc.json.

12. Updates to This Policy

We update this policy when we add or change cookies or related technologies. The "Last Updated" date above shows the current version, and material changes are highlighted on this page.
